ABOUT "TOO MANY LAWYERS"
"Too Many Lawyers" is a comedy improv. group started by Rutgers law professor Don Korobkin. The seven member group consists mainly of lawyers (hence our name) but is also graced by the talents of a journalist, a doctor, and a sleep therapist. The group first came together around December of 1999, when Don sponsored several comedy improv. workshops in the Philadelphia area. Since then, we have collectively been acting crazy in the Pennsylvania, and New Jersey area. What can you expect from "Too Many Lawyers"? It's hard to say. We may invite you to a concert we call "emotional symphony", or take you to an opera in a far off land as we invite you to a skit titled "gibberish opera". We are a little like the popular TV show "whose line is it anyway?" Now under the artistic direction of actress Sharon Geller, the group continues to perform regularly and meets weekly to sharpen skills and learn new improv games.
ABOUT JAMIE C. RAY
JAMIE C. RAY is the administrative coordinator for "Too Many Lawyers". In 2001, she presented an interactive comedy improvisation workshop to individuals with disabilities participating in Pennsylvania's Statewide Independent Living Conference. In addition to her love of comedy improvisation, she is an accomplished amateur vocalist. "I Sing the Body Electric" from the movie musical "Fame" is one of her favorite audition and performance pieces. In "real life", she is the Managing Attorney at the Center for Disability Law & Policy in Philadelphia Pennsylvania. Jamie is a person with a disability herself. Special thanks to "Too Many Lawyers" for allowing her to take this show on the road, and to vocal instructor Susan Whitenack for this evening's accompaniment.
